When I asked about my top martial arts movies, I find it incredibly difficult to look beyond the filmsI saw recently. I’ve always been a lover of martial arts and the thousands of martial arts films that I met on, I have a handful that I am happy to see more than once.

10. Dragon Tiger Gate, 2006:
Comic book adaptation of two brothers (Dragon and Tiger Wong), a team with a street urchin (Turbo Shek – cool name, huh) To fight crime boss supernatural power. Like many of the best martial arts films in Hong Kong, this is an explosive fighting, well choreographed, action-packed fights, and fun and the story takes some people laugh in comedy.
It’s big, bold and it is totally one of the top martial arts movies.

The Last Samurai, 2003:
Although I categorically hate Tom Cruise because of an actor and a person, it is difficult not to become completely in love with his character and a surprising change he does, the defender of a murderess. The story deals with a transformation surprising that Japan has crossed the age of armies and weapons in place of the samurai warrior class.
As someone who has often wondered (perhaps memories of past lives) to “leave everything behind” to train every day, every day, with the sublime nature of Japan as a backdrop, and with the attitude gruff but friendly to the Japanese martial arts, this film delivered all my wildest dreams. With a history of trying emotionally ultimate betrayal and sorrow, The Last Samurai is the Tom Cruise movie do I want to see.
8. Monkey Magic, 1979:
Ok, it was not a movie but a TV series (although there was a recent film Monkey Magic – but I have not seen), but it was the first chance we in the West was presented to the old Chinese epic “Journey to the West” and religious Daoism. I still remember the theme song, my brothers and I used to sing all afternoon after homework was done.
The show was a number of martial arts fights in every new section for the production of an epic story of a trip to India to retrieve the scriptures of India. For those fans of curiosity, the story of Dragon Ball from the same story.
7. Black Belt 2007
And ‘fair to say that most of my choices in the film company in China, whose primary focus is the martial art derived Kung Fu (Kung Fu), but this is mostly because there are so few good films about Japanese karate.
Set in Japan during the 1930′s, three martial artists competing to inherit the mantle of his late master was ordered to join the army to train the Japanese army in karate. The brilliance of this film is its accurate representation of my personal choice of martial arts. It articulates brilliantly the beauty and the lethal nature of karate at the same time showing the altruistic nature is sown in the heart of every martial artist.
6. Ip Man, 2008:
WOW! See this movie, it’s incredible. It is actually the semi-autobiographical account of the man who was teaching Bruce Lee.
It is a brilliant film and one of the top martial arts movies.

5. Shaolin Soccer (2001):
Stephen Chow is, in my opinion, the greatest combination of writer, director and actor Tom Hanks, because … and is a great call. 4. The Legend of Drunken Master, 1994:
I’m not ashamed to say that I am a lover of Jackie Chan. Chan is a master of many styles of Kung Fu and is a prestigious … even though he starred in a series of Hollywood blockbusters that sucked balls (Rush Hour trilogy, Tuxedo, Who am I? And Mr. Nice Guy). He had a hand in nearly 200 films (played by almost 100), for his film career in 40 years, I’m sure one day make a film about him as they did to Bruce Lee.
In this film, Chan demonstrates his absolute mastery of Drunken Boxing style of Kung Fu when he is trying to stop an American businessman to steal and export of Chinese antiquities.
Fight scenes are incredible, fast, like all Jackie Chan movies.
Definetely on of the top martial arts movies.
3. Fearless, 2006:
Jet Li is and has always been great. His management of his art can be seen in his ability to charm the audience even before the first punch is thrown. This film is no different.
Head strong and arrogant, Huo Yuan Jia (Li) is a master of his form of Kung Fu, when an ill-advised fight destroys his reputation and his family. Grieving and ashamed, Huo wanders the country in shock. Nearly dead, he is rescued by women from an idyllic village, and is offered simple kindness and generosity that help him heal and regain his balance over a period of several years. Huo realizes that the future of martial arts lies in sportsmanship and not brutality, and he joined the company to apply what he learned. He ends up fighting a British boxer, a Spanish swordsman, a Belgian soldier and a Japanese martial artist in some of the battle sequences the most impressive ever seen.
2. Kung Fu Hustle, 2004:
Among the thousands of movies action comedy that took in the past, this movie tops them all. In fact, this film is beyond them, then urinating on them and then turned on, and then eat, laugh and laugh. Tony Jaa, a name to remember after seeing this movie. This was the first film (which I had never seen) that did not have the brutal Muay Thai (Kick Boxing) and showed the beautiful martial art that has existed for centuries.
Start living in a small peaceful village. One day a sacred Buddha statue called Ong Bak is stolen from the businessman who sells it to the village immoral excessive profits. It arrives early with the task of a young, Boonting (JAA), to track the thief to Bangkok voluntarily and new religious treasure. Along the way, uses his athleticism Boonting surprising and traditional Muay Thai skills to fight his opponents.

This is one of the great kung fu movies stars Jet Li is a narrative of the story “The Chinese Connection.” In 1937, a Chinese martial artist returns to Shanghai to find his teacher dead and his school harassed by the Japanese.
The Legend of Drunken Master
Both the comedy and kung fu film, stars Jackie Chan as a hunter who must learn the art of Drunken Fist. Classic movie.
Ong Bak
This action-packed film is in the top 10 martial arts epics. This is one of a very interesting martial arts movies that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. Booting lives in a small and peaceful village. One day a sacred Buddha statuette called Ong Bak is stolen from the village by a immoral businessman who sells it for exorbitant profits. It soon becomes the task of a young man, Boonting (Phanom Yeeram), to track the thief down to Bangkok voluntarily and reclaim the religious treasure. Along the way, Boonting uses his astonishing athleticism and traditional Muay Thai skills to combat his adversaries.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Two warriors in pursuit of a stolen sword and a notorious fugitive are led to an impetuous, physically-skilled, teenage nobleman’s daughter, who is at a crossroads in her life. The battle, the landscape, and action made this film popular throughout the world. It is an epic tale of a sword stolen, a mysterious ninja, and love. It’s a fascinating story with romance, action, and great cinematography.
Master Killer
In this film, set anti-Ching Pariot their base in Canton under the cover of being school teachers. He, the Master Killer, escapes a brutal Manchu attack, and devote themselves to rigorous martial arts training to get his revenge. This film is one of the few films that follows kung fu training process from beginning to end.
